Work Party Information
Miss Betty’s Day Camp does not have full-time employees or maintenance crews. We rely on our parents to help prepare Camp prior to its opening. After you have registered your child for Camp, we will send an updated to-do list of Camp projects that need to be completed.
For parents who cannot perform the physical work of the Work Party, there may be other ways in which you can help the Camp. Please speak with the Camp Director to determine how you can best be of service.
The work party dates for the 2020 season will be Saturday, May 30th from 8:00AM-12:00PM and Sunday, May 31st from 12:00PM-4:00PM. A minimum of 2 hours participation is required and you are only required to attend one of the two dates listed above. Please bring tools with which you are comfortable working. Tools commonly required for use during the work party are rakes, push brooms, weed whackers, shovels, wheel barrows, electric drills, screwdrivers, buckets, gas powered leaf blowers, and rags. Please no chainsaws. Camp does not own tools for your use. Always bring gloves and boots, and wear long pants. Bring your lunch and water, it is a full day of work.
Your $100 (per family) work party deposit will be refunded after attending the work party.
Thank you in advance for all of your efforts – it is because of our Camp families that we have been able to keep alive for our children, the wonderful experience that is Miss Betty’s Day Camp.
