The Barn
New
for 2008!
The Barn is a fixture at Miss Betty's. Both at the old camp and here in our new home in Pickering Grove. Not only does the Barn serve as storage for all our equipment during the off season, it is also a place of shelter during stormy weather, the home of our clay barn's kiln and wheels and a cool place to hang out and play ping pong.
Work has steadily progressed on the barn at camp. In past years we demolished the decayed portions, poured a new cement floor, rebuilt the interior supports. cleaned up the outside overhang and upgraded the electrical system. For the last several years we made do with temporary fixes to the roof but now we have at last completely replaced the roof!
There is still work to be done, new siding, add windows and outside stairs. But the progress we have made has been truly impressive and we are indebted to everyone whose hard work and energy have brought us this far.
